From the CEO - April 2020
What a difference a month makes. Last month I wrote to you about travelling to meet with committees and sponsors, and this month, like most Australians, I’m hardly leaving my home. While working from home isn’t new to me, juggling the supervision of three children and a partner also working from home, requires some navigation and patience. AITPM Member Adrian Barritt shared some handy advice on working in these uncertain times https://www.aitpm.com.au/news/maintaining-productivity-uncertain-times and you can continue the conversation over on AITPM’s LinkedIn page https://www.linkedin.com/company/aitpm/ Of course, having a job and a roof over your head is something that can’t be taken for granted in this health and economic crisis, and the AITPM is acutely aware that this will be a very challenging period for transport professionals.
AITPM’s operations are being modified to address the changed operating environment and this will be rolled out over the coming months as everyone adjusts to the “new normal”. Online technical events on webinars, online networking and changes in our communications will be made, but we are also conscious that many individuals and businesses are currently focused on getting their own teams (and technology) operating in their new working environments. Many individuals and businesses may also be eligible for the various government stimulus packages that are being announced and we encourage our members to consider their eligibility for these packages if you are facing difficulty. Likewise, with the AITPM membership renewal now due, we understand that some members may need to hold their membership payments until the stimulus has been received. If you need to delay your membership payment, please let us know.
Now is the time for us all to support each other. Being a part of the AITPM family has never been more important.
