Virtual Crash Bill Board

An innovative pedestrian safety campaign has been developed for the Parisian Road Safety Authority by the ServicePlan France organisation. It uses a shock tactic and multiplies the safety effect greatly by appealing to social media sharing. These Virtual Crash Billboardstarget pedestrians crossing illegally before displaying their photo image and giving a text warning message. There is also an optional follow up video clip accessed via a QR code.

Daye City in China has a very different system that detects pedestrians crossing illegally. It sprays them with water mist jets, gives an audio warning and coloured laser beams, photographs them even sends the image to the Police Department for facial recognition. See:
