In the event of an election for the positions, I provide the following statement (maximum 300 words) outlining my aptitude to address the Board Responsibilities as set out in the position description, to be used and published in support of my nomination during the voting process:
To be eligible to hold the position of Member Elected Director, I confirm that at the time of submitting my nomination that:
In accordance with the constitution clause 30, I:
- am, or am eligible to be, a Full Member of AITPM;
- am eligible to be a Director under the Corporations Act 2001 (cth);
- at the time of nomination and election, reside in the Region required to ensure the composition of the Board and complies with the requirements of clause 32.2 of the Constitution; and
- understand that if I hold a position on any AITPM Branch, TMN and/or EPN Committee, I will relinquish, said position(s), at the latest, within 14 days after election:
To be considered for election, you must be determined by the Board Nominations Committee to meet the eligibility requirements for appointment.
To qualify for the office of Member Elected Director on the AITPM Board, you confirm:
- You have not been disqualified or suspended from managing corporations in Australia and must otherwise be permitted by law to act as a Director of a Company.
- You will provide or apply for a Directors Identification Number (Director ID) enforceable by ASIC prior to your appointment. The Director ID is a unique identifier that you will keep forever and does not cost to apply. The Commonwealth initiative and purpose of the Director ID is to help to prevent the use of false or fraudulent director identities and can be applied for on the Australian Business Registry Services website Director identification number | Australian Business Registry Services (ABRS).
- You will provide a Consent to Act declaration in accordance with the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), which will be issued to you prior your formal appointment.
