About this event
Please join the AITPM VIC Branch and Transport Modelling Network (TMN) to hear from specialists on Victorian transport models. This will be a primer for the transport industry on a number of the transport models managed by the Department of Transport and Infrastructure Victoria. Presentations will focus on when (scale and type of project) it is appropriate to use the various models, who to contact, various facts about the models and any planned future updates. Don't miss this chance to get the inside scoop and unique perspectives from model specialists and custodians!
Speakers
- Tim Bryant (Acting Director Forecasting and Evaluation) will provide an overview of the DOT suite of models, who manages them and their intended use.
Presentations on individual models:
- VITM: Kate Johns, Manager Modelling Development
- Cityplan: James Eunson, Manager Transport Modelling & Forecasting
- Domino: Julian Laufer, Specialist Engineer (Traffic Modelling)
- MABM: Peter Kartsidimas, Director Networks and Planning
- Q&A session (15-30mins)
Following the Q&A session, please join us in networking with likeminded professionals in the industry with food and beverages available.
We encourage new transport modellers, people involved on the fringe of modelling and experienced modellers interested in hearing from DOT / IV and learning about the future plans for each model to attend this event.
Hosted by the AITPM Transport Modelling Network (TMN), but open to all.
