About this event
Join us for this webinar to hear about the newly published Design of Roads and Streets manual.
This practical ‘how to’ manual explains how we can determine appropriate design responses for roads and streets throughout NSW by better understanding their role and context as local places. The manual is adopted as a Transport for NSW standard and fills a gap in guidance for designing roads and streets. It supports other more general design resources such as Austroads Guides, Australian Standards, and Global Street Design Guides, by demonstrating how these apply to local contexts in NSW, following the principles set out in the NSW Movement and Place Framework.
Key Reference Documents:
1. Design of Roads and Streets - https://www.movementandplace.nsw.gov.au/design-principles/design-road-and-streets-guide
2. NSW Movement and Place Framework - https://www.movementandplace.nsw.gov.au/
This webinar will introduce you to the manual and is the beginning of the consultation process over the coming months to develop and refine the Design of Roads and Streets manual.
We have three great speakers lined up:
- Ben Cebuliak, Transport for NSW
- Arjan Rensen, Transport for NSW
- Greg Jackson, Transport for NSW
