About this event
This in-person interactive session led by the Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) encouraged attendees to learn about the new Strategic Adelaide Model (SAM). A revolutionary 4-in-1 demand model designed by DIT and built in collaboration with SMEC.
Step into the future of transportation modelling and planning in South Australia by joining the Australian Institute of Transport Planning and Management (AITPM) event "Presenting the new Strategic Adelaide Model (SAM)" hosted by SMEC, Australia. This event will be an engaging in-person experience that provide attendees with insights into the new integrated modelling suite developed by Transport Insights of the Department.
You'll have a unique opportunity to hear directly from Transport Insights at this in-person event.
This 4-step demand model stretches from the Fleurieu Peninsula to the Clare Valley and has gained widespread recognition for its innovation, leading to a nomination at the Consult Australia awards. The presentation will explain what SAM ‘4-in-1’ model is, how the model has a runtime between 45 minutes and 5.5 hours (while other equivalent models can take up to 1-3 days to run), some of its capabilities and how it supports strategy and planning.
