About this event
This AITPM online webinar provides two PhD students studying at Curtin University to showcase their work and to debate issues related to ridesourcing services and air travel, which business professionals may face on a regular basis.
Join us to hear from speakers:
Speaker #1: Jayita Chakraborty
A Simulation-Based Assessment of Demand-Supply Interactions for Ridesourcing Services in an Urban Environment
This research aims to assess the demand-supply dynamics of the ridesourcing operation and its impact on the stakeholders of ridesourcing services. This research would put forward the directions to sow the seeds of quantity regulation for ridesourcing services.
Speaker #2: Hongyang Cui
Impact of Lockdown During COVID-19 Pandemic on Aviation Market Share in Western Australia
We collected the information on domestic RPT flights arriving and departing at Perth Airport to investigate how traffic volume and market share vary by market structure and travel purposes before, during and after the 2021 lockdown. This research would provide insights into airline competition in Western Australia.
Please join us for two presentations, followed by a Q&A.
