About this event
Walking and cycling in was mooted to enjoy a boom during the early years of the pandemic, but as we “learn to live with Covid” in mid-2022, how is active transport going?
This seminar brings together speakers involved in the planning, delivery and data side of active transport infrastructure, to get insight into their work.
We will hear from:
1. Nick Collins is the program manager at the Australian Integrated Multimodal EcoSystem (AIMES). AIMES is a world-first living laboratory based on the streets of Melbourne, established to test highly integrated transport technology with a goal to deliver safer, cleaner and more sustainable urban transport outcomes. Nick will tell us about the work underway at AIMES and specifically the cycling green wave.
2. Philip Mallis, is a Principal Strategic Transport Planner at the City of Yarra. Philip will speak about the City of Yarra’s Draft Transport Strategy 2022.
3. Beck Roy is a Project Officer at the City of Melbourne and is involved on the delivery of bike lanes including design, planning and talking to customers, and will bring insights from this work.
For any enquires, please contact Harry Smithers
