About this event
The AITPM QLD Branch welcomes members and guests to attend breakfast with a keynote address and panel session on the work underway to prepare the South East Queensland (SEQ) Rail Network for the future.
In conjunction with a celebration of International Women in Engineering Day we will hear a presentation from TMR TransLink Deputy Director General - Sally Stannard followed by a panel session including Queensland Rail Head of SEQ - Scott Riedel and CRRDA Director of Customer and Operational Integration - Nerida Hand who will discuss the collaborative ways of working to deliver the upcoming critical program of rail improvements.

Government Health Guidelines
This event will be run in compliance with the Government’s health orders applicable to our venue. Visitors to BCEC are no longer required to check in or have proof of vaccination status to access the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC).

If the event is cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, you are entitled to a full refund of your ticket price in accordance with the cancellation policy.

Sally Stannard | TMR TransLink
Sally Stannard - Deputy Director General (TransLink) Department of Transport and Main Roads
Sally leads the delivery of customer-focused passenger transport services across Queensland including policy, planning, ticketing, contract management and customer services. TransLink Division is responsible for the integrated rail, bus, ferry and tram network in South East Queensland; and long-distance rail, coach and aviation services in regional, rural and remote Queensland, in addition to school transport, personalised transport and demand responsive transport services.
Sally is passionate about public transport and developing sustainable communities. Sally has qualifications in Engineering and International Studies and is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Scott Riedel | Queensland Rail
Scott is a results-oriented and tertiary qualified business leader with a solid technical background and strong commercial acumen. Scott has more than 30 years' experience in the Australian, Asian and United Kingdom rail industries. As Head of SEQ, Scott is responsible for the operational and strategic management of Queensland Rail’s SEQ network. His team ensures Queensland Rail provides a safe and reliable network for the people of Queensland, and delivers progressive commercial outcomes for the government and Queensland Rail.
Nerida Hand | CRRDA
Director, Customer and Operational Integration, Cross River Rail
Nerida leads the delivery of customer and operational integration at Cross River Rail including the coordination of customer changes, possessions, network readiness, and operational integration to ensure customer and operational outcomes are achieved. Cross River Rail is a new underground rail line under the Brisbane River and the CBD. The project will transform the way we travel across South East Queensland and deliver new underground stations, as well as several station upgrades.
Nerida is passionate about developing and improving public transport infrastructure, having customers and operations at the forefront of all decision making to ensure sustainable and accessible services. Nerida has a background in transport infrastructure projects and operationalisation and has over a decade experience in the public transport industry.
