Adrian Ellison | Data Science Consulting Director, DSpark

Adrian co-heads DSpark's data science consulting and product development functions. He applies his expertise in collecting, managing, and analysing large spatial and sensor data sets to develop new uses and applications of telecommunication data. Adrian's specialty is in collecting, processing, combining, and making sense out of large datasets, emphasising spatial data. He has applied these skills to various transport and logistics problems, including road safety, active travel, and economic behaviour. A widely published scholar, Adrian holds a PhD in Driver Behaviour from The University of Sydney. He is also a researcher at The Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies at The University of Sydney. 

Meead Saberi | Assoicate Professor, UNSW

Dr. Saberi is an Associate Professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia. He holds a PhD degree in transportation systems analysis and planning from Northwestern University, USA. He has 15 years of experience in transport network modelling and analytics research. He is leading the CityX research lab as part of the Research Centre for Integrated Transport Innovation (rCITI) which focuses on scientific understanding of cities through modelling, simulation, data analytics, and visualisation. His research interests and experience cover a range of areas including traffic flow theory & characteristics, large-scale transport network modelling, complex networks, active transport modelling, and urban data analytics & visualisation.

Jerri Zhao | Product Manager, Traffic Data and Analytics, Intelematics

Jerri is the Product Manager of Intelematics Traffic Data and Analytics solution, INSIGHT. Her 15-years’ experience in IT, software, education, data and analytics has provided the advantage to holistically understand the transport market’s needs. She works to ensure Intelematics delivers the highest-quality, reliable traffic data, which powers the INSIGHT road and traffic solution. Her interests and expertise include city planning, active mobility, sustainability and making data-based decisions with traffic insights to improve liveability.

James Cox | Product Manager, AddInsight

James recently joined SAGE Group, after their acquisition of the Addinsight IP from the SA Department for Infrastructure and Transport. In 2012, James created Addinsight whilst working as a transport planner and traffic modeller on the South Rd Corridor Study. He used the data to support the calibration and validation of a wide area Aimsun model. When the study ended, James changed roles to support the traffic management centre and adapted the system’s functionality to detect incidents and to provide travel time predictions for the numerous variable message signs that previously remained dormant across Adelaide.

Addinsight is now used by every Australian road authority and several cities in NZ, connected to a network of over 8000 field devices. In his new role, James continues to develop Addinsight and provides support and training to its customers.
