About this event
We invite you to join the official unveiling of the AMAG enterprise solution –SMART SaaS Platform incorporating SMART Safety, SMART Survey and SMART Operations via webstream on Wednesday, 25 May from 12:30pm - 1:30pm.
This AITPM event, led by Marty Prowse, CEO of Matrix and Simon Washington, CEO of AMAG, will provide a demonstration of the SMART Platform Products and provide an opportunity to talk with AMAG and Matrix staff and engineers.
Headquartered in Brisbane, AMAG’s new SMART Software-as-a-Service Platform is reimagining transport analytics. Leveraging the advantages of AI, video analytics, edge, and cloud technologies, SMART delivers proactive and evidence-based insights to support actionable insights for departments of transport around the globe, with products that support management, operations and planning. AMAG is building safety considerations into each and every product, delivering unparalleled support for achieving Vision Zero and Safe Systems objectives.
Department of transports around the world need technology to solve critical issues facing the rapidly evolving road network systems, with urgent focus on improving road user safety across management, planning, and operations. AMAG, in partnership with Matrix, is delivering a game-changing SaaS solution, leveraging AI, advanced video analytics, edge, and cloud to minimise traffic conflicts that lead to crashes, eliminating our predominant reliance on crashes to inform decision-making. This technological breakthrough–under development, trials, and validation for more than a decade–will support the needed paradigm shift in road user safety, with benefits to all road users including the most vulnerable.
Introducing the AMAG Smart Platform
Providing:
- Insights into the temporal and spatial nature of crash risk at monitored locations so remedies can be implemented before crashes occur.
- Real Time Traffic Alerts, to optimize network operations through Alerting traffic control centres about unusual and concerning operations, crash risk, and road user behaviour.
- Traffic counts and speeds for all road users for a complete snapshot of utilisation.
- A central repository for historical and real-time data, with multiple layers of data privacy and security per customer requirements.
- Integration of products and services to support management, planning, and operations functions.
For any enquires, please contact Marty Prowse
Simon Washington | Co-founder and CEO of Advanced Mobility Analytics Group @Advanced Mobility Analytics Group
After 25 years of researching the causes and treatments of crashes, Simon left a successful academic career to use his cumulative knowledge and experience to support a needed paradigm shift in transport safety, operations, and planning. As CEO of AMAG, he is leading a team of transport engineers, AI experts, and programmers to build a suite of SaaS products that will enable transport professionals to plan, manage, and operate safer, smarter cities. Most importantly, the SMART platform enables governments to abandon their reliance on crash data as a primary means to inform decision making, and providing evidence-based insights before crashes occur.
Simon, in conjunction with the other co-founders of AMAG Tarek Sayed and Shimul Haque, have been proving this transformative technology for more than a decade, applying their collective skills in statistical and econometric methods, AI, and machine learning, and transport engineering. With testing, development, and validation in more than 30 cities across 8 countries, this proactive life-saving technology is for the first time commercially available.
Simon is an internationally recognised transport engineer, having been employed at some of the top engineering universities globally over the past 25 years. He has held leadership roles at UC Berkeley (Director, Safe Transportation Research and Education Centre), QUT (Discipline Lead) and UQ (Head of School). Simon has co-authored more than 300 published peer reviewed papers and a statistics textbook in its 3rd edition, and his work has been referenced more than 15,000 times by other researchers–positioning him as one of the most highly cited road safety authorities globally.
