Marion Lawie | Managing Director for Vocatif Australia, and Associate Director of Dream Big Australia
Marion is widely recognised as an experienced engagement practitioner, strategist, and communicator. creates learning and engagement experiences for individuals and teams, working particularly within the public sector and community. Her role is to create an environment where participants are open and willing to share ideas, consider alternative perspectives and learn something new - or perhaps unlearn something that’s no longer serving them.
Marion is a proud advocate for Dream Big Australia, an NFP committed to enhancing women’s potential and ability to succeed in STEAM careers through world-class development experiences. High potential, emerging female talent needs to be supported and nurtured to address our professional gender imbalance - which will be to the benefit of all, because diversity = strength.
Marion will provide a key note for our event, discussing the need for gender inclusion now to progress communities of tomorrow.
Sam Linke, Integrated Transport & Mobility Capability Leader | Aurecon
Sam is passionate about the power of integrated transport planning to create a better future. She believes that visionary, inclusive, and adaptable planning is at the heart of creating smarter, safer, and more liveable cities. As international engineering, design, and advisory company Aurecon’s Global Capability Leader for Integrated Transport & Mobility, Sam brings a diverse skillset of planning, technology, and engineering to increase resilience of and reduce pressure on our public and private transport services.
Sam successfully leads a team that undertakes planning, analysis, and design of transport and places that integrate seamlessly, with many women within leadership positions.
Sam joins the panel to discuss how our industry can drive and shape the ‘sustainable tomorrow’ and how increasing women in the workforce has contributed to Aurecon’s success.
Kate Mackay, Australia Practice Leader for Transport Planning I Mott Macdonald
Kate has worked as a transport planner since 1997 in Australia, the UK, South Africa, New Zealand and Fiji. As Mott MacDonald's Australia Practice Lead for Transport Planning, Kate designs and implements user focused integrated transport strategies, and leads the future mobility offering in Australia and New Zealand. Her work is informed by data, based on analysis, and complimented by an in-depth understanding of travel behaviour, the 'how' and 'why' people travel.
Kate joins the panel to contribute her perspective on what the ‘sustainable tomorrow’ looks like, and how inclusive design and strategies will contribute to gender equality.
Lucile Bourguet, Study Manager - Decarbonisation, Inclusion & Diversity Lead | GHD
Lucile is an Energy & Environment Engineer with more than 16 years’ experience in developing and executing clients energy transitions to meet global net zero carbon emission goals.
Lucile experienced fast growing beginnings in the solar photovoltaic system (PV) industry in France where she delivered grid connected and off-grid commercial engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects. She then built the Tenesol (now SunPower) business in Australia and was awarded the Best French Young Entrepreneur in Australia in 2011.
Lucile believes in creating change from the inside, and joined a Power Utility to lead significant cultural improvements across the vastly male dominated operational workforce. This led to Lucile to consulting, and she is now helping clients improve their safety and environmental performance on a bigger scale with GHD by leading emissions reduction projects.
Lucile joins the panel to discuss how sustainability is a key driver for our future success, and how sustainable design will contribute to gender equality.
Erin Thomas, Lead Consultant | Aurecon
Erin is a lead consultant within Integrated Transport & Mobility at Aurecon in Queensland.
Erin is the Vice President of the AITPM Queensland Branch Committee, and was the convenor for the 2021 and 2020 Online Conferences.
Erin is passionate about improving diversity and inclusion within our industry, and aims to inspire those around her to challenge the status quo, and to enable our community to have gender equity within this lifetime.
Erin is excited to facilitate our key note and panellists in a discussion around how our industry can contribute to sustainable tomorrow through reaching gender diversity and inclusion.
