Organised by the AITPM Emerging Professionals Network NSW, this was a must-attend event for anyone passionate about how academia, government and industry are shaping the future of transport.

- Micromobility: The rise of small, lightweight vehicles such as e-scooters and bicycles, and their role in urban transport.

Professor David Hensher AM | Founding Director | Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies (ITLS)
David Hensher, PhD, is Professor and Founding Director of the Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies (ITLS). A Member (AM) of the Order of Australia (OA),. David is also a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia (FASSA), Recipient of numerous awards including the 2009 International Association of Travel Behaviour Research Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2021 an annual prize was established and named in honour of David for best paper in transport demand modelling at the Australasian Transport Research Forum (ATRF). David is the Executive Chair and Co-Founder of The International Conference in Competition and Ownership of Land Passenger Transport (the Thredbo Series), now in its 33rd year. He has published over 750 papers in the leading international transport and economics journals as well as 17 books and is Australia’s most cited transport academic. David has over 74,000 citations of his contributions in Google Scholar.
Dr Eleanor Short | Senior Technical Director - Transport Decarbonisation | GHD
Dr Eleanor Short is a Senior Technical Director – Transport Decarbonisation at GHD. She has 18 years’ experience in multi-modal transport planning, with a strong focus on Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV) and reducing transport emissions. She led the development of the Zero Emission Bus (ZEB) Transition Plan for Transport Canberra and has worked on projects examining the impact of future ZEV freight on the road network. With a PhD in road re-pricing, Eleanor is passionate about creating more sustainable travel patterns and better cities. She is a Fellow of AITPM and Roads Australia.

David Brown has a degree, with honours, in civil engineering but his passion is in the impact of our transport systems, not how we build them. He anchors a weekly radio program and podcast on cars and transport and focuses on being inquisitive not opinionated
