Join us to hear from Ben Cebuliak, Acting Manager Movement and Place at Transport for NSW and Marc Lane, Principal of Integrated Frameworks with the Government Architect NSW, following the recent publication of the Practitioners Guide to Movement and Place - implementing Movement and Place in NSW.
Following a brief presentation from Ben and Marc there will be the opportunity to ask them questions about the guide.
We are broadening our thinking beyond movement by itself to align our transport projects with the individual places and communities they serve.
The Movement and Place approach for transport projects will ensure outcomes-led planning is implemented at the earliest stages of projects and supported throughout. Movement and Place is key to developing successful places and ensuring that we have the right transport solutions to support our towns and cities. The Movement and Place approach demonstrates a whole of government commitment to a place based approach to planning.
This presentation will explain the change in approach from Movement and Place traditionally being transport led, to being embedded across NSW agencies to enable integrated land and transport outcomes.
Helen Borland, Project Director Corridor Preservation at Transport for NSW will facilitate the discussion.
