About this event
The AITPM Queensland Branch and WSP are excited to host an in-person breakfast event at the WSP Brisbane office, bringing together movement and place experts to discuss the future of Mobility for South-East Queensland.
We will take a look at how rail travel, station precincts and multi-modal transport intersect to create sustainable, liveable and connected places for people to live, work and play. Event presented in partnership with WSP.

Oliver Thessman | PDT Architects
Oliver Thessman is a Director and Head of Architecture at PDT Architects, a Brisbane based design studio with a strong rail and infrastructure team. Oliver’s experience covers a number of sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, retail and residential however, his passion and drive for transport and infrastructure has led to involvement in a significant range of rail projects across Queensland. PDT Architects have delivered numerous station accessibility upgrades from feasibility through to delivery. The team have also work with major project delivery consortiums on large scale planning projects and rail infrastructure projects across the State.
Yuyu Zhang | WSP
Yuyu Zhang is WSP Australia’s Technical Executive for Strategic Rail Planning based in Sydney. For the last 20 years in her professional career, Yuyu has been working collaboratively with many rail planning clients in Australia and provided evidence based assessment to inform and influence key decisions during the upfront planning stages of major rail schemes. Yuyu most recently led the Network Development of Melbourne Suburban Rail Loop Final Business Case.
Rail and sustainable mobility planning is a passion of Yuyu’s, she believes the goal of strategic rail planning is to plan and design rail schemes as part of integrated, sustainable transport networks and ultimately deliver the optimal door-to-door travel experience for all transport customers.
Cobi Murphy | CRRDA
Cobi Murphy, Customer and Network Changes Lead, Program Delivery, Cross River Rail Delivery Authority (CRRDA) has ten years’ experience leading strategy, project management and stakeholder engagement for the Queensland Government, including at the Department of Transport and Main Roads, and now at Cross River Rail Delivery Authority. In her role with the Delivery Authority, she manages network and customer changes throughout the construction period to day of opening. She also ensures that the project will create inclusive and accessible outcomes.
Myles Fairbairn | DTMR
Myles Fairbairn is part of the Transport Strategy and Planning team at the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads. In the transport infrastructure, maintenance and operations fields he has worked in the varied roles of engineering design, project management, construction, business cases, contract administration, transport planning and transport strategy. His career has spanned more than three decades of working in the consultancy sector and government, the first 13 years of which was spent in the UK.
