Sewmini Arachchillage
Sewmini is a Consultant at VLC with over three years of professional experience in the transport industry, over three and half years of experience in the research field, and sessional academic experience across four years. She has worked on several major transport and traffic projects as well as research focused projects for both public and private sector clients. Prior to the start of her industry experience, she was a PhD researcher at the Queensland University of Technology. Her PhD research focused on developing a novel methodology to assess cell-based quality of service and capacity in bus rapid transit (BRT) station platforms, where she also researched on the impact COVID-19 on BRT platform operation. Sewmini is passionate about providing high quality public transport services. At VLC, she is working towards her passion by engaging primarily on Public Transport Planning projects.
