About this event
Join the AITPM QLD Branch in collaboration with Stantec, at the new City of Gold Coast Disaster and Emergency Management Centre (DEMC). This seminar, sponsored by Stantec, will start with an overview of the DEMC including hazards, a virtual tour and the future for the centre and will be presented by Mark Ryan - Executive Coordinator, Disaster Management.
The case for autonomous vehicles continues to strengthen, and the push towards commercialised adoption continues to grow, but maybe not quite how you think!
Speakers:
- Mark Ryan, Executive Coordinator, Disaster Management
- Trent Williams | Stantec
- Alyson O’Rourke | City of Gold Coast
Trent Williams from Stantec will present how we need to move beyond ‘Predict & Provide’ to unlock future mobility opportunities aligned with our future vision, including how these can be supported through the three development horizons (i.e. never done before through to business as usual applications).
Alyson O’Rourke from the City of Gold Coast will show how the City has provided a valuable testing ground for AV’s to date, such as the AV shuttle and other innovations, and their planning to capitalise on the benefits of these emerging technologies into the future.
Refreshments will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there!
This event is kindly sponsored by Stantec.
