About this event
AITPM QLD Branch in collaboration with Be Engineering Solutions are proud to host the third in-person event at Toowoomba.
Join us to hear from three transport practitioners in their field from Be Engineering Solutions and Toowoomba Regional Council.
Presentations and Speakers:
1. Communication in Transport Infrastructure Design
Speakers: Darren Blasdale and Bill Zhang, Be Engineering Solutions
As councils aim to deliver positive outcomes for the community, we look to the use of current and emerging technology to aid in improving road safety, design, option-engineering, stakeholder and community engagement.
Darren and Bill from Be Engineering Solutions will present case studies of their application of the latest technologies such as drone, barometer, GoPro and 360 cameras in successfully delivering road safety audits, concept development, and creation of interactive 3D virtual reality tools that transform audit report, designs and ideas into visualisation.
The 3D platform turns streetscapes, roads and public space designs into visuals that immerses stakeholders and community into the design.
This technology is ideal for:
- Provision of an interactive first-person experience throughout project development phase that combines the real world and virtual contents.
- Supporting efficient team communication and real-time review process.
- Delivering optimised design/planning solutions.
- Enable the planning, design, and engineering teams to analyse changing road conditions and potential impact including environmental constraints, sightlines, lighting, and shadowing effects.
Innovative engagement of stakeholders and clients with easy presentation of technical information.
2. Highfields, Kratzke / O'Brien Road Intersection Upgrade Project
