Sunshine Coast Council have recently commenced consultation on the Sunshine Coast Mass Transit project. Please join us to hear about details of the project and be part of the discussion around the region’s growth, transport habits and how that might adapt into the future.
The current phase of the mass transit business case process is the Options Analysis. Previous planning has shown that the highest priority for providing mass transit is in the coastal corridor from Maroochydore City Centre to Sunshine Coast University Hospital. This precinct experiences significant traffic congestion and has the greatest concentration of activities that would benefit from public transport.
There are several options under consideration in the Options Analysis to meet the transport needs of the coastal corridor. They include road network upgrades, bus network and service improvements, Bus Rapid Transit, Light Rail, Trackless Trams and Wire-free Light Rail.
Join us to hear from speakers, Adam Cracknell (Sunshine Coast Council) and Dan Koch (Sunshine Coast Council), who will present on the where the project is to date.
Agenda:
- 4.30-5.15pm Networking, food and drinks
- 5.15-6.30pm Presentations
- 6.30-7.00pm Networking and drinks
Visit Council's website for project information and to have your say on the best public transport options for the region.
