About this event
RAC, Main Roads WA and PJA will present on Road Safety Programs, Trials and Speed Management for the WA road network.
There is a need for a new program to deliver proven effective low-cost safety treatments on rural and peri-urban local government roads. The RAC will present on a business case for a new program which would apply low-cost treatments to high-speed local government roads.
Main Roads have been working with local government to trial innovations in road safety, with this presentation focusing on pedestrian/cycle raised priority crossings.
PJA are working with different local governments on speed management programs and will present on case study examples including New Zealand speed management approach.
Lunch will be provided.
