About this event
Gain an understanding of the current state of play with respect to WA's electric infrastructure and readiness for transition to renewable generation and electric vehicle transition.
The focus of this event will be working together for electrification to ensure future clean energy supply, sufficient electricity and charging infrastructure for a vehicle transition happening together and at pace. This discussion will bring together policy makers and engineers to make the connection between energy and transport systems in the journey to decarbonisation. It will unpack the future plans in WA, the challenges to be overcome and ways of working together.
Learning Outcomes
- Gain an understanding of the current state of play with respect to WA's electric infrastructure and readiness for transition to renewable generation and electric vehicle transition.
- Understand the policy challenges and work underway to meet these challenges.
- Discover the technical challenges that exist and how WA is placed to meet them.
- Understand the engineering and planning skills that will be required in the next 10 years.
- Discover what the Transport and Energy sector need to do to work together to support electrification.

Before joining Aurecon, she spent 6 years with C40 Cities Climate Leadership working with city decision-makers to champion and embed sustainability strategies into city policies to accelerate decarbonisation.

Before joining RAC, he was Chief of Staff to the Victorian Minister for Sport and Recreation, and Veterans’ Affairs. He has been an adviser to the Australian Government Minister for Trade, Minister for Transport and Regional Services, and Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry
