Since the start of the pandemic, there has been a lot of coverage on how travel behaviours have significantly changed, with data showing huge shifts in those riding bikes and walking. Transport authorities across Australia have been quick to respond, putting in measures to help make it easier for people to ride to work, school and to access services during the pandemic.
Join us in this national webinar to hear from practitioners in the field of travel behaviour change discussing the implications and opportunities of the pandemic on their behaviour change programs and interventions. How are underlying travel behaviours changing across Australia? What does it mean for existing programs and interventions? What are the options to embed and encourage further changes as we transition to a new-normal?
Helen Ginbey (Travel Behaviour Change Manager, WA Department of Transport) will provide insights from Western Australia, while Matt Austin (Behaviour Change Project Coordinator, City of Sydney) will discuss the opportunities in Sydney. Graham Pointer (Future Ready Lead Australia, WSP) will provide an overview of travel changes across Australia. The session will be introduced and moderated by Adrian Barritt (AITPM NSW Branch Committee Member and Travel Demand Management Lead, AECOM).
We look forward to you joining in the discussion and putting forward your comments, thoughts and questions to the panel next Thursday at 1pm (28 May 2020).
