The Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport will be Sydney’s second airport. Unlike Kingsford Smith Airport, this airport is to be curfew-free and will have 24 hour operations. Construction of the airport has commenced and it will be operational by 2026.
Join us online for this webinar, which will provide an opportunity for members to obtain the latest update on the roads and the metro rail that are currently being built to service the Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport.
The webinar will focus on the modes of transport leading into and out of the airport.
Peter Williams, Director of the Western Sydney Project Office will talk about the upgrades to existing roads and construction of new roads, including the M12 Motorway, developed under the ‘Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan’ to support the new airport.
Samantha Phillips, Director Customer and Product for the Sydney Metro - Western Sydney Airport will talk about the 23 kilometre new railway link that will connect the new airport and the Western Sydney Aerotropolis to the rest of Sydney’s public transport network.
