Engineers Australia Statement on Climate Change Summit

“Engineers Australia understands the important role of engineers and engineering in creating the solutions for communities as expectations about our future changes.

“These expectations include everything from how society responds to climate change and sustainability, to how we benefit from and understand new technologies, global connectedness and innovation.

 “In 2020 Engineers Australia will host a series of summits for leaders to address these important topics. The first of these summits will be held on 26 February 2020 and will address engineering responses to climate change and explore practical ways in which engineers can accelerate the low carbon transition and action to reduce the impacts of climate change on our communities.

"By providing science-based technical advice to decision makers and the public, engineers have the ability to drive change and to positively motivate and encourage our communities to seek a better future.”
