The AITPM VIC YPN is proud to host this webinar showcasing unique applications of transport modelling. In this webinar, Veitch Lister Consulting and Aimsun will discuss the interesting uses of their transport models in alternative contexts.

#1. Veitch Lister Consulting Presentation

This presentation will focus on VLC's work in the Outdoor Advertising Industry. VLC has been commissioned to build models which estimate the 365 travel patterns for all residents and visitors across and to Australia. The models being built build upon traditional modelling frameworks using elements of activity based modelling, machine learning and data fusion. Join us to learn more about this area of work.

#2. Aimsun Presentation

An overseas study of new mobility solutions and their impacts. This will consider:

1. Safety aspects of Active Mobility Users (AMU) and Personal Mobility Devices (PMD) along with their impact on the road environment (i.e. competing priorities of road users).
2. Leveraging a simulation environment (Aimsun Next) to establish a quantifiable measure of safety (which is a function of accident likelihood and accident severity).
3. Informing or help quantify 'safety by design'.
