The Special General Meeting of Members of the Australian Institute of Traffic Planning and Management Ltd (ACN 062 495 452) (herein referred to as AITPM) was held on Wednesday, 27 March 2024 at 12.00pm (AEST) at WSP Offices, Level 11, 567 Collins Street, Melbourne and online via a Zoom Meeting.
Due to the popular demand, the QLD EPN branch hosted yet another Coffee Roulette networking event! Held is a speed dating style where Emerging Professionals where paired to meet and greet each other, rotating every few minutes. It helped to create connections quickly amongst other young professionals, learn about what they are doing, expand attendees networks and make new connections.
Transport for NSW has prepared the draft Guide to Transport Impact Assessment and is seeking Industry feedback from March 25-May 31st. The draft Guide to Transport Impact Assessment is an update to the Guide to Traffic Generating Developments, 2002. This briefing will provide an overview of the new Guide, outline methods for providing feedback and have a Q&A session and will be of interest to all transport professionals who work to understand the impacts of new development.
This event hosted by AITPM VIC YPN and Monash University provided young professionals and students with an insight into the different career paths available in the transport industry. Guests heard from a number of professionals at different stages in their careers and has the opportunity to ask questions about their experiences in the transport industry.

The event was designed to highlight and encourage possible pathways for uni students who might be interested in a career in urban and transport planning, traffic engineering, or transport modelling.

This technical seminar gave practitioners a greater understanding of Australian Standard 2890.1 Parking facilities – Off-street car parking. The consultation for the new edition of this Standard was completed in November 2023, and the committee received 1,300+ submissions.
