SESSION INFORMATION
This session will host leading industry experts, who will present the latest developments in connected and automated vehicle technologies, with a uniquely Australian lens. The industry is undergoing a transformation as vehicle manufacturers and road authorities seek to establish standardisation and advancement in emerging vehicle technologies. They seek new solutions in managing physical and digital infrastructure including data and connectivity, ensuring robust infrastructure to support CAVs, vehicle updates and maintenance, as well as post-production and post-deployment services. The speakers will share in their experience, recent developments in this space and what challenges and opportunities lie ahead in this fast-changing environment. Some of these include:
- AI interaction with road infrastructure, future challenges and road map for AV, what should government do to support.
- Focused on AV/C-ITS regulation around vehicle data sharing.
- Perspective of vehicle manufacturer, level of comfort with data sharing, challenges and road map for C-ITS/AV, what should government do to support.
- Focused on challenges and opportunities nationally, readiness and collaboration for C-ITS/AV.
