Daniel Bennett is an award-winning registered Landscape Architect and urban designer with over 20 years’ experience shaping cities, movement and places. He has shaped projects of all scales across the private and public sector, with major Australian infrastructure project experience including Sydney Light Rail, Melbourne Airport Rail, Canberra’s Capital Metro, the Gallipoli Underpass and the Coast to Coast Light rail projects in Adelaide.
Daniel has recently joined Aurecon as a Principal in Adelaide, leading the new Integrated Design Capability in South Australia.
As the former Associate Director of Strategy and Design a the City of Adelaide, he lead the development of the nationally recognised Adelaide Design Manual, the city’s guide to creating great streets and public spaces as well as responsibility for the Smart Move Transport Strategy, which included the development of the City Bikeways program.
Daniel is a past National President of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects, and is in his second term as President of the South Australian Chapter of AILA. He is a member of the Premier’s Climate Change Council and Board Member of WalkingSA, the state’s peak walking body.
