ABSTRACT
The deployment of a Tyre Deflation Device (TDD) by Police officers is dangerous business. There are regular instances when police officers are injured, some severely or fatally, in catching criminals and making our roads and community safe. The road safety strategy for Logan enjoys a strong partnership with Queensland Police, Department of Transport and Main Roads, Queensland Health and other minor partners. The road safety program works closely with the city's crime prevention teams. Logan City Council's Road Safety Unit has partnered in a innovative trial with Queensland.
The presentation has vision from a recent PolAir, deployment of Stingers and quick statistics of the catch. Watch this space, this project will become nation wide.
